We discover complexities of Human Behaviour and Decision-making

The Behavioural Lab is a state-of-the-art research facility aimed at discovering the complexities of human behaviour and decision-making. Situated in Jaipur, the lab is a joint initiative of the Rajasthan Centre of Advanced Technology (R-CAT), and the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIMU) offering cutting-edge tools for interdisciplinary research in behavioural and allied sciences.

Our Vision

Our Vision

To be a pioneering hub for interdisciplinary behavioural research, advancing the understanding of human behaviour and decision-making through cutting-edge neurophysiological tools, and driving innovation in academic research, government policy, and market applications.

Our Capabilities

EEG (Electroencephalography)

The lab houses a 64-channel EEG system from Brain Products, capable of measuring brain activity in real time. Ideal for research in attention, cognition, and emotional engagement.

Eye-Tracking

We utilize a screen-based eye tracker from Tobii to analyze where and how long individuals focus on different visual stimuli. This is particularly useful for studying visual attention in UI/UX design, marketing, and consumer behaviour.

GSR (Galvanic Skin Response)

Our GSR equipment measures emotional arousal by detecting changes in skin conductivity, allowing researchers to quantify emotional responses during decision-making tasks.

Behavioural Experimentation

The lab is also equipped with advanced software/tools (e.g., Qualtrics, E-Prime) for designing and running behavioural experiments that allow us to gather insights into how individuals make decisions in various contexts.
