PhD Course on Behavioural Research Methods
April 07, 2025 to April 12, 2025
April 07, 2025 to April 12, 2025
Introduction
The Behavioural Lab, a joint initiative between IIM Udaipur and the Government of Rajasthan, is excited to announce a specialized 5-day PhD-level course on Behavioural Research Methods. This course is designed to provide research students—PhD scholars and advanced Master’s students—with a comprehensive understanding of research methodologies employed in behavioural sciences.
Course Structure
Day 1 - April 07, 2025
Day 2 - April 08, 2025
This session will dive into the nuances of designing and analysing lab and field experiments. Participants will explore best practices for formulating hypotheses, conducting experiments, and analysing results to draw meaningful conclusions.
Day 3 - April 09, 2025
This session introduces advanced tools like eye-tracking, EEG, and other neurophysiological methods. Participants will understand how to integrate these tools into their behavioural experiments for deeper insights into human decision-making.
Day 4 - April 11, 2025
This session will focus on quasi-experimental methods, emphasizing their role in establishing causal relationships in behavioural research when true experiments are not feasible.
Day 5 - April 12, 2025
The final session will cover qualitative research methodologies, including interviews, focus groups, and ethnography, enabling participants to complement quantitative findings with rich, contextual insights.
